In my 20's I ran an unsupported, unsponsored, solo lap around the continental U.S. – 10,000 miles on foot. I have abiding faith in America and Americans. Details & links: www.longrun.us

Old Testament, Leviticus 19: The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt.

New Testament, Matthew 22: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

I'd settle for Make America Good Again.

Here's a good video. The shot required calculating, thinking and planning, but the takeoff was scheduled to the second; so the timing the camera movement wasn't a matter of luck. www.youtube.com/watch?v=K67V...

Excellent effort & energy throughout the game. Berhalter goal was impressive; ditto Berhalter assist. Still, most of our goals were aided by luck and Uruguay breakdowns. And the Uruguay goal makes me nervous – multiple errors of body and mind. Our top defenders will be an improvement, but Freese?

SOME people. Everywhere you go, there are masses of people doing their best to make the world a better place, in ways both big and small. But wherever a few malevolent, selfish people have accumulated great power, alas, it's easy for the rest of us to feel powerless.

Just for the record, the thought is usually expressed as "Comparison is the thief of joy." Either way, it's the truth.

It's a fine piece of journalism, but it's not a continuous shot. Note that his clip-on mic is an inch lower in the launch shot than in the walking one. "You get...THAT!" was easy to synchronize with a typical countdown. And the flying rocket isn't the one shown in the launch. Three shots minimum.

Have I missed it, or has the worldwide Men in Blazers network still not issued any reaction – on the air, in the socials, or via Raven – to EUFA's execrable treatment of Crystal Palace? Please, for the love of Rebecca Lowe, SAY SOMETHING!!!!!

One-trick pony of a puzzle.

If you could solve one, the rest would be easy. If you couldn't solve one...the whole thing would be impossible. I got lucky.

Magical kick, but the keeper misplayed it. Although he'd positioned himself to protect the correct corner of the goal, he was either a stride too far forward or a step too late in reacting. Awkward.

Massively ironic to say "Everyone should read this" when the article is behind a paywall. Letting profits drive reporting (and opinion) is a huge part of the problem you're trying to illuminate.

Excellent video quality for 1925. Or was it 1825?

Also: Ancient Prescription Dad.

Unlike moms, who wisely visit all medical specialists regularly, men avoid them and end up seeing the world through lenses about a decade out of date.

At one point Bret Stephens seemed to suggest that "one's truth" can be on the same plane as "the facts." Perhaps I'm misrepresenting him, but just at the moment he could have clarified his stance, CNN decided that chatting with a pair of actors was more important. A pity.

And just when the post-show, deep-dive conversation about truth, facts, and advocacy in modern journalism grew most interesting, CNN cut away to... a pair of actors. Next week, let's watch Anderson Cooper, Abby Phillip, Bret Stevens and Kara Swisher analyze the Meisner technique.

In the 1980 Winter Olympics, the U.S. won 6 gold medals. The mens hockey team won one of them after its celebrated upset of the U.S.S.R. The other 5 gold medals were won by speed skater Eric Heiden. He later won the U.S. professional cycling championship and became an orthopedic surgeon.

He needs to sound less like Mitt Romney and more like Tim Walz. He and the rest of the Democrats should try to appeal to voters rather than journalists.

Timing this shot so well seemed like an extraordinary accomplishment in itself. I still marvel at its technical perfection.
