When wealth is passed off as merit, bad luck is seen as bad character. This is how ideologues justify punishing the sick and the poor. But poverty is neither a crime nor a character flaw. Stigmatize those who let people die,not those who struggle to live.

“Throughout history,

it has been the inaction
of those who could have acted,

the indifference
of those who
should have known better,

the silence
of the voice
of justice
when it mattered
most,

that has made it possible
for evil
to triumph.”

Took Satchel for his walk and swim - the rain brought fresh water to his stream, then home to make lunch and Lemon Banana Bread … it’s cooling waiting to be iced.

Drest in a little brief authority,

Most ignorant of what he's most assured,

His glassy essence, like an angry ape,

Plays such fantastic tricks before high heaven

As make the angels weep. “

Hope is often misunderstood. People tend to think that it is simply passive wishful thinking: I hope something will happen but I’m not going to do anything about it. This is indeed the opposite of real hope, which requires action and engagement.
