Cleanup and gap removal will take a while but since it’s too cold to airbrush, I guess I’ll have time for it!

He stands and the arms don’t droop, my two biggest worries.

My greatest fear when i bought this kit was that, like the Regult, the Glaug wouldn’t be able to stand on its own.

The ankles are works of art, the cockpit opens, and she stands proudly!
Now about those nub marks…

Final assemble proved harrowing. A Polycap in the shoulder kept coming loose and the cockpit kept jamming inside the torso. I think she was worth the stress. #macross glamour shots soon(tm)!
VF-1j Miria Fallyna-Jenius use Super Valkyrie in Battroid mode assembled and standing on her own. VF1J unassembled with its parts laid out to resemble a fighter jet instead of a giant robot.

So many Bandai decals tore irreparably. Hasegawa decals seem more forgiving. One of these kites tore after application. I somehow managed to piece it back together and then sealed it with gloss varnish. The last of the decals are finished and soon it will be time for the final topcoat! #macross

The blue stripe decal exhausted my patience but looks great. VF-1J “Miria” WIP.
