Cat lap nap. Amber had a hard day today. We had to fuss at her a couple of times for trying to get at our food. Learning the rules of the roost is tough work! But she's training us as much as we are her. 😂

Build the creepiest looking house on the outside, but super comfy and cozy on the inside. Take some small twigs and branches, make strange symbols with them, and hang them up in trees around the property, especially along the drive. 😆

Our little kitten came to us via the cat distribution system about 3 weeks ago now. She went from eating anything and everything we'd give her to turning her nose up at it unless it was the right flavor of the right kind of cat food, fixed in the right way, softened with water but not warmed, lol.

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. I read it the summer before sixth grade, after having gotten into reading for personal pleasure in 5th grade with the My Teacher is an Alien series. It introduced me to high fantasy and I was off to the races after that, devouring fantasy like crazy!

My Teacher is an Alien by Bruce Coville. This was the first book I ever read purely for enjoyment. I was a good reader and I always did any reading required but this one really set me off on my personal reading journey. The whole series is fun and super interesting.

Dragonsong, along with all three of the Harper Hall trilogy books. I was introduced to them in middle school and so many of the themes resonated with me at the time. The music, feeling misunderstood, feeling alone, it really helped me through a tough time.

The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett, one of my favorite authors. It simply overflows with wit, charm, and humor.

I just received this in my primary email. If real, the propaganda machine is ramping up, and it's incredibly disturbing. #propaganda #biguglybill
