Agreed. I’ve used Music Magpie before and found them reliably non-piratical. I’m told Apple also do such deals but I’m trying to limit my expenditure on American companies as much as I can. You may not feel the same.

Depends why you need a new phone. Have you considered buying a refurbished phone of the recently discontinued model? Apple may not want to make it but is likely to update software for some years. Reputable refurbish companies give a year’s warranty, phone should be cheaper & do trade in the old one!

Simpler not to go to the US at all unless your employer requires it, and if they do they can supply you with a clean phone. I’ve just turned down an kind social invitation and my would-be hosts entirely understood my refusal.
