Was told today that my style is reminiscent of Joyce Byers from “Stranger Things”. Winona Ryder as my celebrity doppelgänger? Yes please!

My brother and I stayed up until 3am watching Wednesday together and I think it’s one of my favourite sibling moments of my adult life so far. Uncle Fester for the win.

Pleased to share a report on flexible child care published by the Coalition of Child Care Advocates of BC (CCCABC). I had the privilege of conducting qualitative research on this project. Flexible, non-standard hours of care could help solve the childcare crisis.

When people say, “She’s just a dog, she’ll adapt” it reveals to me that they a) have never known the loyalty of a German shepherd and b) that they underestimate the love that exists between me and her. I make decisions not just for my dog’s wellbeing but also for mine. Symbiotic relationship, bro.

Presented alongside the fierce and brilliant Sharon Gregson on the grassroots advocacy of $10aDay (which is not the same as what the BC government is implementing). Thank you to #ECEBC2025 for holding space for our workshop!

Presented my research paper about children's perspectives on 2SLGBTQ+ picture books at the #ECEBC2025 conference. A bunch of BANNED books. Proud of the educators who showed up.

Interesting analogy. Still, intersex doesn’t need to be justified through statistical comparisons to be legit 🫰

I try to be honest about my dog’s bad behaviour when it happens but I’m guilty of doing this thing too.

Highly recommend watching the first and so far only season of “North of North.” The characters, the winter coats, the interpersonal dynamics, the nitty-gritty intergenerational trauma. But above all: The Indigenous joy. Really beautiful glimpse into a fictional Inuit community in Nunavut. Loved it.

So true.

It's been a disturbing, intriguing experience to study the Hunger Games books and films so closely these days. The series parallels intensely with current global politics. The film "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" was so well acted. Anti-heroes are worth thinking about. Hyper-fixation complete.
