Guess I'll have to try for next month, won't be able to make it today

I say it was "decent" because the retail price at the time was less than $100 and I didn't really need it, now people would leap at the original price and be grateful. AI demand is destroying the RAM market the way crypto destroyed the GPU market.

I am glad I avoided 99% of the media and discussions before I had a chance to play the game.

Can't help you decide between blue or purple, but we can safely remove regular clear as an option.

And you'll get a company that will actually work with you instead of telling you to pound sand after 90 days.

They're doing it. So, go buy things from them - on their website, on AliExpress, or even on Amazon, consider them if you need Switch, PC, Xbox, or phone controllers (they say they're working on Sony compatibility too), you'll get a lot more for your money than you will from Nintendo, Sony, or MS.

The Cyclone 2 had some LED buggy behavior, they fixed the firmware. The G7's had latency and other glitches, they fixed it. We said we wanted some of these premium features in symmetrical controllers, they said they're working on it. Seriously, this is exactly what we *want* companies to do and

very open about what's coming soon. If there's a feature you don't see on a controller they'll tell you about new models planned, so you can decide if you want to wait or buy what's available. They're responsive on Reddit and Discord with support, especially hardware faults or software bugs.

Sony's response to shitty stick design is to sell you replaceable parts rather than fix the root issue. Microsoft just makes things cheaper and hopes you'll keep buying. Gamesir says "fuck that, here's a replacement, sorry about that."

And that's not all. If you look at their product line, they're

has been replacing them, because they have a 1-year warranty. So I emailed them, and sure enough: gave them the order info, showed them that picture, and they said they were shipping a new one. It arrived today.

Nintendo had to be sued into halfheartedly "fixing" their shitty joycons.

I was crushed, I loved this controller and I almost ordered another one right away. But I also wondered if I could just replace the battery, so I did some searching. Turns out a lot of these got battery issues, especially that December '24 batch. Everyone who reported it also reported that Gamesir -

Look up the G7 Pro or the Super Nova and see how much people love those.

But here's why I'm ranting about them: I bought a Cyclone 2 last December, and it has seen daily use since then. Last week it suddenly got terrible battery life, and I noticed these cracks on the back shell. Swollen battery.

I've said before that the Cyclone 2 is an amazing Switch/PC/mobile controller that has pro features and is better than it has any right to be for less than $60.

$60 and it has features that rival the Xbox Elite 2 and is just flat out better than the Switch Pro.

So, the market responded, and there's Flydigi, ZD, Gamesir, etc. all offering controllers for far less with better features and better durability. Gamesir offers cheap wired controllers, budget wireless, and premium "pro" controllers. All of them are priced too good to be true, but they're legit.
December 2, 2025 at 12:22 AM
they get stick drift or something breaks. $70 for Switch "pro" controllers is insane. $75 for Dualsense is insane. $200 for a Dualsense Edge is fucking crazy. Oh, they "fixed" stick drift by selling you replacement sticks for $20(!?!) $150 for Xbox Elite? GTFO, have you seen how the grips peel off?
