Shoutout to Mac Taylor. Wonder if they ever learned that a bunch of people in basements pledged their lives to the fight for housing on a copy of their work product. 🫡

I propose the name “California’s High Housing Costs: Causes and Consequences.”

in any case i’d describe coogler (like peele) as very much being the children of stephen spielberg and if they were white this would be abundantly clear

Seattle should receive a majority stake in the properties these providers own in exchange for this money.

Clearly it costs more for them to provide housing than they are able to receive in revenue in their current operations.

We badly need to take this problem seriously.

He won’t. Without even reading about this any more, you know that this is part of some kind of gutting of fuel efficiency standards or the tax code on behalf of the car dealership boyars.

Time is a flat circle. Westlake Center is always being pedestrianized or re-opened to cars. Every team is vaguely in the playoffs but disappointing. Big changes are coming to Aurora Avenue (they’re not).

It’s like an inverse shot from Pluribus.

Just to clarify “without time pressure” is “how” above.

For anything that matters, this is how you assess learning and mastery. Same for nuclear certification tests and every other professional certification I can think of.

I realized I tried to fix your problem instead of starting with curiosity. I’m listening and learning now.

Potentially amanita pantherinoides, based on color and the universal veil fragments on the cap. Not a fun time if eaten.

Amanita pantherinoides - Vancouver Mycological Society
Until recently the common brown Panther Mushroom of the Pacific region of North America was thought to be the same as Amanita pantherina (DC.) Krombh. of Europe. Sequence data now makes it clear that ...

This information would indicate to me that we are very far off in the housing that we’re providing, which is nowhere near that split.

I would be interested if the numbers actually went down for number of music venues. I think there are likely more now than in 2000 or 2010.
November 14, 2025 at 5:44 PM
Yes I do. I’d be interested in some supporting evidence from you that isn’t filtered through nostalgia for the bars you liked! Nothing wrong with that and I do it myself, but there is simply a lot more energy and resources going toward art in Seattle now than at any point in recent history.

Neighbors is still there, Pony is still there, The Deluxe is still there but has been a bar and grill since at least 2005.

I think it’s reasonable to push back on people who comment on the city where I’ve spent most of my life.

I mean, I am arguing that Seattle’s art scene is 100% more vibrant than in the 80s and 90s. It clearly is.
