his fathers siblings murdered by the Nazis and 3 of 6 of his mother’s sibings murdered. May all of this family’s members who were murdered by Nazis rest in peace. Three of his mother’s siblings survived and lived until their 60’s and 70s. Never forget. Never again. Never is today. Protest cruelty.

It is just devastating. I cannot imagine how Benjamin’s father coped with the losses of his wife and son. Glad he survived, but it had to be SO hard for him. Never forget.

Remembering Benjamin Vischschoonmaker and his mother, Sara. Sara was about 21 years old and poor baby Benjamin was about 11 months old when they were murdered. May they rest in peace together. They looked so happy. She so happy with her baby and Benjamin, a happy, well-cared for and much loved baby.

Remembering sweet Marie Szlengel, who was murdered at age 11. Also remembering her mother, Cyjwa, who was about 24 years old when she was murdered. Separating children from their parents is its own kind of trauma. To face concentration camps, boxcar trains, and the gas chambers alone is devastating.
