she’s the only essayist i’ve spent much time with at all really i don’t generally find the idea of essays and memoirs super exciting but yeah her style is very enjoyable to read

idk if your feelings about joan didion if you have any but slouching through bethlehem is a compilation of her essays and i think on morality is a particularly ??? meaningful ?? read? i’ve also got ghosts of my life by mark fisher ive been meaning to read but its. going to be a hard one.

dirt is abt soil preservation, underland is about how humans have used the earth, ghost w trembling wings is about the various factors particularly colonialism driving animals to extinction and the attempts to bring them back, from here to eternity is abt death practices around the world

i have some recommendations for stuff that made me realize i do enjoy reading nonfiction if you’d ever like them. and they’re not just about dirt
