Thanks for the reminder, Max.

My latest release, a companion piece to “Redbird,” is titled “Must you go, when the day and the night need you so?” features a mix of pipe organ, Mellotron, and modular synthesizer. It’s my first time working like this and I’m very happy with the results.

My 90 day trial of Logic Pro is almost done and I don’t have the $200 to buy a legit copy of it at the moment. GarageBand is okay but I’d like something with some of the flexibility and plugins that Logic has. Any suggestions for alternative DAWs to try?

Sometimes, I wish I could turn off the part of my brain that is preoccupied with death. Whether it is from mourning a loved one, bearing witness to an ongoing genocide, or the occasional intrusive thought of suicide, death is never far from my mind.

I haven’t posted here in 5 months, and in that time, my dad passed away, I lost my job, started a new job two weeks later, made a piece of music in memory of my dad.

My dad has pancreatic cancer, has been fighting with c-diff. colitis and other complications in an ICU for the past several weeks. Now he is too weak to continue chemo, so he’s being moved home for at-home hospice, which will drastically reduce the time we have left with him. This fucking sucks.

I know it’s probably a little annoying to make one of my first posts on here a link for buying my music, but I ended October with almost $4000 worth of emergency vet bills to pay after my dog got severe pancreatitis, so every extra penny I can make counts at this point:
