I know you know, but Bernstein + London Symphony's performance of Stravinsky's 'The Rite of Spring' is TUFF. 💪💪💪

We are all being birthed and rebirthed, regularly, at short interval, and often unwillingly.

We actually don't HAVE to do any of these technologies. We could totally just not.

Cancel culture is real and it lives on the right, backed by state power.

I love reading New Yorker profiles overall but man is it testing me to imbibe tales from the arts winners circle these days.

Jeremy Sisto was Adam Driver before Adam Driver

I started watching Six Feet Under recently and I feel like it's reinforcing my beliefs about the Prestige TV era. Shows like that were what we were promised, and what we got were a succession of artless, focus-grouped series stylized to look and feel something like these earlier examples.

Who is the world's most overrated guitar player and why is it Eric Clapton?

So I finally looked up a full explanation of the lyrics to 'Little Deuce Coupe,' and I gotta say, either the Beach Boys knew quite a lot about hot-rodding 1932 Ford Model 18s or they asked someone who did because it's quite specific.

So what's the over/under on the next 9/11?

Did you know that Devo actually rips? Because I feel like a lot of people don't.

Does anyone realize just how grotesque the nepotism in the arts has become? Like almost no executive/producer/director has had to "find" talent in a solid thirty years. Just get so-and-so's kid/cousin/bestie. If I think about it really makes me want to vomit.

Can we talk about how annoying UAD's Console software is for routing in a professional studio? I don't want to have to use these annoying cue sends just to route audio out to personal mixers for my clients, panning outputs hard left and hard right to take advantage of all 8 channels of passthrough.

I'll take all your YA/adult fantasy recommendations where none of the main characters is ridiculously OP. I know everyone likes imagining themselves as the chosen one, but there's not a lot of tension to be had in boundless power imo.

Did anything feel worse than the first time you tried to jump on an enemy in Super Mario Bros. 2?

It's April Fools' Day, remember to check in on your neurodivergent friends, for they are likely feeling disoriented and afraid as they scroll through their social media accounts.

Are we witnessing the first completely voluntary collapse of a world power in history?

Ooops I started listening to Peter Gabriel-era Genesis songs, time to get no work done.

Solid state amplification becoming cheap and efficient enough that everybody can have a shitty, shitty subwoofer is one the worst things technology has wrought since the millennium began.

The NCAA is cooked as far as I'm concerned. Weakling bootlickers.

Subscribing to the New Yorker in print is one of the best decisions I've made this year, hands down, but bro, it's tough to keep up with them joints! They come fast and furious!

Some of my best work was with singer/songwriters who gave me latitude to really produce and develop their tracks from the ground up and it's a shame that they doesn't happen more often.
