In countries with universal healthcare… many people still cannot get treated because of long wait times and die waiting for treatment. In lots of cases, people take advantage (why wouldn’t they) of free healthcare.. clogging up systems. There has to be accountability in one’s health choices. Period

I hear this both personally and objectively.. but when I think realistically.. most folks do not want to pay for other people’s health choices, especially if they feel it will cost them their own or their families care. There are pros and cons to universal healthcare, it deserves factual discourse

Love the sentiment, but it’s unrealistic given human nature. Even universal healthcare has flaws. What about a co-op system? ‘John, we care, but smoking is hurting you. Here’s help to quit—keep making bad choices, and you lose coverage.’ Preventable diseases drives costs way way up.. it’s a fact

Unpopular opinion here but… I disagree with most of these. Prioritize mental health over getting sucked into depressing news cycles… support Independent politicians NOT millionaire democrats who have shown they cannot win or connect with average people. Invest in local politics and support your comm
