I poked around the CD-5 page and it was pretty sparse / vague. Maybe I need to just show up to a meeting and check it out. I'm interested in recruiting friends who I think are political involvement-curious and have more spare time/skills than I do so it would be nice to know what to recruit for.

I'm sure I only seemed more bizarre and insufferable as I told them that my tick-or-treating companion was warm because she was dressed as Hans from the SNL sketch Hans and Franz. Turns out not everyone gets that reference anymore.

Yesterday I met a couple who moved here from Kansas City and oh boy was I excited to tell them about the Halloween Blizzard and warn them that they'd be hearing about it every year.

I’m starting a new teaching job tomorrow and was dismayed to learn from a future colleague that my supervisor likes using AI “as a tool.” I want to go in and be vocal about my opposition but I’m worried that my vulnerability as a new staff/my general people-pleasing nature will take over.
