📍 From the Anti-Eviction Bloc to the Anti-Eviction March 💚💪

Join us this Saturday 10th May at 12.30pm in Dunville Park as we march to the Housing Executive.

We are demanding an end to Evictions and the end to the unfair treatment of our members by the Housing Executive's broken Succession Policy.

On 4th February 2025, the Housing Executive evicted our member from the B&B in Crumlin and offered her a new placement in a hostel in Belfast. White text in the body reads: Our member went to the hostel to be greeted with a broken shower, shared kitchen, £25 weekly service charge, respiratory hazards and accessibility issues. She was devastated to learn she would not be allowed any visitors in a time where her friends and social support network are a lifeline.

We were also proud to field our first ever CATU Belfast team at Spórtlann and United Against Racism Anti-Racism Cup! Our members put in hard graft and secured some beautiful goals in the face of tough opposition. Go raibh míle maith agaibh as an gcluichí ⚽💚✊

What a weekend!

We had a fantastic community day yesterday in Norglen Parade with a huge amount of support from neighbours and CATU members. We will not accept Housing Executive evictions in our communities.

The current Housing Executive policy on succession is not working. We are currently working with families across the city who are in similar positions

Instead of a mass program of house building - Gordon Lyons is fiddling around the edges. We need Safe, Secure Homes for all now!

The community came together today to stop the eviction of another family in West Belfast. Once again the Housing Executive is evicting rather than granting succession.

We joined the local community and grassroots community groups in resisting this eviction today.
