New bodyswap fic snippet for WIP Wednesday 😙🎶 Jayce POV of him reminiscing while he washes his partners body and totally NOT getting distracted in the process

Text written as follows:
“I’m sorry you had to see me like that.” His friend wouldn’t even look him in the eye as he clung to crisp sterile sheets, shadows hanging over his face.

Viktor didn’t divulge much, just a simple explanation. Continuous use of his new aid to support his back combined with his chest being bound had been enough of a burden on his body that he had passed out. Jayce had been experienced enough in his life to understand why Viktor would keep this secret tight to his chest, enough to know the look in Viktor’s pleading amber eyes that screamed; please don’t ask more. Please don’t look inside as I lay upon the operating table vulnerable, cleaved open, guts spilled.

The event had entirely slipped his mind until he was called upon, cited as an emergency contact, and to Viktor’s apparent mortification, partner. Jayce then realised his honest slip up during their previous hospital visit in which he had almost lost his damn mind and signed anything that had been thrusted his way.

They laughed about it over a flask of gasoline tasting undercity booze during an unceremonious celebration of a full recovery, Viktor seemed clearly happy a weight had been lifted from his chest. Jayce smiled in return and in a drunken stupor wished he could keep this man weightless.

Written text is as follows:
He never got to see the results, knew better to never ask.

Now here he was, feeling a lightness nestling in his ribcage knowing at least Viktor has breathed better since then.

Warm hands cup healed twin wounds with admiration, but then he sees those very amber eyes peering back, piercing the mist. A sudden rush of guilt washes over any thoughts, he shoves his hands under armpits and his head under the stream of water, followed by scrubbing his sins of unwarranted exploration with a worn rag, forcing himself to stay on course.

He’s once again distracted during the procession of toweling off, going to itch a scratch and feeling two small vertical scars mirrored between sharp hipbones. He ponders what surgery could have been required around Viktor’s abdomen before a soft tuft of hair brushes against his forearm. At this moment his only thought is this information will not be noted down, and that showers is something he will not be bringing up during their morning pier review.

Once he gives himself a moment and functional thought returns, he ponders this is the closest he’s felt to Viktor.

He is loosing his fucking mind over it.

Because Jayce warned him, expressed clear instructions – his body requires exertion. Jayce went through a whole routine with him, commentary included. Typically, this wouldn’t be an issue because of the forge–Viktor please, can you just listen. Alas, Viktor has no experience in metal work, and neither scientist were too keen on an interaction with a passerby worker from Talis Industries that would start with comments about his awkward form, and end in are you puppeting the skin of my boss?

Viktor had heeded Jayce’s instructions… Just consequently shrugged them off. Maybe, possibly, he hadn’t taken to this part of Jayce’s routine with much sincerity. It was the first time in his life he had ever felt this much energy and weightlessness, and wasn’t willing to waste it on mindless exercise. He had instead put his mind to use without the encumberment of pain and exhaustion. Which had worked wonders! Until this very moment, when it absolutely backfired.

Now, there was an entirely new problem. Now, with nowhere for all this energy to go, it was keeping him awake, vibrating up strong legs and nestling somewhere hot between tense thighs.

He shoves his face into the heat of the pillow, squeezing his eyes shut and folding his arms beneath him.

He counts all the decimals of pi he can muster.

He walks himself through the emergency routine of a fire in the lab, unsurprisingly memorised by heart.

He thinks of calloused fingers and soft palms holding his arms steady, moving up to his shoulders and over his collarbones. Feather light touches up his neck then down... Down to something firm and solid.

An unfortunate realization is struck at this moment. He is hard. Jayce is hard.

It had been long enough that an ache was settling in. Conflicting feelings bubble in Viktor’s stomach, but there’s a bolder instinct at play. This is just a natural reaction of the body, to take care of it would be the correct procedure. He attempts to justify the craving. It would be for Jayce would it not? He is supposed to take care of his partner’s body in the time he has borrowed it, and he intends to do it properly. Thoroughly.

He tries not to admit to himself how satisfying it is to finally grind his hips into the mattress, delicious friction against trapped hardness zapping straight up his spine.

Curiosity wraps its tendrils around Viktor as he explores the unfamiliar sensation. Maybe this is an experiment of sorts? To understand the body, the mind. He shudders as another dry thrust pulls on burning skin just right.

Viktor knows after this switch is over, there won't be a chance to feel this again. He’s survived days and nights of not touching, not thinking about it. He’s also survived two, almost three decades of never feeling right, never looking correct. It’s been wearing him down to the bone and gnawing at the marrow.

He has wanted, he has yearned. He’s never taken and he’ll never ask.

And gods, does he want to take something. Just this one time.

He flips over into his back, steeling his resolve as hands travel nervously down his navel, feeling clammy skin pulled over ridges of cut muscle. Dipping fingers under the waistband of his sleep pants and dragging them over plain briefs. He palms tentatively then grasps at the erection tented by cloth. His head jolts up with a gasp, then slouches with a low moan of relief, the familiar timber of it snapping him back to reality.

That’s Jayce’s voice, coming from Jayce’s body… And this is Jayce’s dick.

The clear truth of it all feels like ice straight to the back of teeth. It forces him fleeing from the bed and straight into a cold shower
