People will typically have to live in the UK for 10 years before applying for the right to stay indefinitely.

Home Office emails exacerbating confusion for individuals in relation to UKVI account / e-visas / digital status. Really not helpful. Also, for lawyers receiving these, there are no client names so it's not possible to know the intended recipient.

Seema Malhotra decides to "allow carriers to accept a BRP or EUSS BRC expiring on or after 31 December 2024 as valid evidence of permission to travel until at least 31 March" (where underlying status still valid). This will be complicated! #evisa

Keir Starmer just said working people want less "legal and illegal migration". But why? Legal migration includes the partners of British and settled persons, skilled workers, e.g. doctors and nurses in the NHS, international students contributing £ and talented migrants advancing their industries.
