The key word is ‘Generative’. All other AI forms are up for debate, a lot of them are hugely beneficial, but generative AI is lazy and that’s all it is.
It is simple, though. Generative Al has literally NO necessity. All it does is generate soulless 'art' for lazy people who want the dopamine from a finished art project but don't want to put in the work to earn it. There are so many other forms of Al that are great and genuinely beneficial, but generative Al is completely unnecessary.

Artistic skills can be learnt, people don't have the patience or willingness to try to progress their abilities, yet they're being rewarded for that laziness by being given a machine that'll create art for them that they can claim as their own. They want the satisfaction of a finished art piece without the effort that goes into making one. You don't see an issue there?
