You shouldn't think that the current government takes hate speech seriously or even suggest it in jest.

It's not funny. The current government is a disgrace.

KOSA needs to be implemented better, but that requires a solid bedrock for national ID.

That bedrock should be based on PGP.

The only thing that I see as a potential issue w/ sec230c revocation is that it would be abused to deplatform "undesirable" platforms through lawfare

Would much rather see the German approach: criminalize hate speech to solve the problem.

Where is the normality? Please.

You're exactly right.

I looked into you and you clearly know a great, great deal.

I would be honored to talk to you anytime if you would like, one to one.

I used to hold that view years ago, that moderation was censorship. But I grew up and I realized that it was wrong.

I see you're off bsky and have your own fedi instance. Is there an issue with bsky I'm unaware of, btw?

I don't to be affiliated with pedo bullshit and your position is also mine. To put it as plainly as possible.

I do not use X and have not used X since ~2024 for obvious reasons. Data purged.

It's not a matter of OPSEC, US Law offers broad protection to free speech and it's extended via USC 230(c) to providers as a liability shield.

If you think something violates US law you should report it and move on or consider a career in criminal justice.

I remember when banning tiktok was a bipartisan issue

Pretty Petty is a more fitting headline.
Also, Mamandi's wife wasn't on NYC's ballot.

The spouse of the elected is very much an independent human being and i wish we respected that more.

Congrats and solidarity to NYC DSA.

Problem: It's impossible to censor the internet.

Even in Iran andChina a great deal of people easily bypass the most advanced DPI systems in existence.

I wish I had a better answer to the problem. But censorship systems never work.

North Korea even has sneakernet.
Evolution of an old problem.

...the fucking lens of what media i watch/ed, which honestly isnt that much rhsse days, well, i read a shitload, way more than i should read. But what i guess I'm trying to say is, people make too much of their identity based on what flavor of big mac is their favorite. Thats the anology
January 1, 2026 at 11:30 PM
So back to the american thing. In america it's like people make up their whole identity based on what shit they watched or what things they listened to. And you can infer certain things based on what media someone likes. And even im guilty of not giving myself the dignity to analyze myself beyond...

On every fucking website nobody wants to talk about anything of actual substance. This was not always the case. So here is my topic of discussion. Today we are going to talk about shit posts like that. What is the point? What is earnestly there to be discussed? To belittle someone younger or older?
January 1, 2026 at 11:26 PM
It seems like honestly every time i see a post like this it devolves into what i call intergenerational shit flinging contest. And its really popular in america. and spoiler im american. America is a very consumeristic culture right? And here is what is so fucking tiring about every fucking website
