It happened to our dog when I was a kid. My Dad was in the police and must have pissed someone off although we never found out who. It still haunts me 35ish years later. Anyway, just curious. And a big fan of your books!

That is a shame! When I was a student in Aberdeen I went to see him do a talk on his Hemingway series. The microphone cut out and, while they fixed it, he kept everyone entertained by singing The Lumberjack song in German. I hoped that would be in his diaries but sadly it wasn't included!
