We can add #USAToday to the list of "news" organizations which downplay the behavior of the UnPresidential President. This is their headline concerning the "dumping shit" video, with no mention of that aspect at all. Wouldn't want to upset the right. Imagine if Biden released that video.

Say hello to my little friends. Hot little frens, Bahamian Goat Peppers from my planter patch. I can attest to their spiciness.
Two orange habanero-ish Bahamian Goat Peppers nestle in a man's hand. Green stems, and not quite as pumpkin-like as some. They are the size of a big radish, or a deflated ping-pong ball, and pack a punch (about 250k Scoville).

Little Princess Catalina when she was a fair bit younger.

#insect #dragonfly Well, I guess it's "sexy time in the swamp" (although not actually in a swamp, just a slow moving spring-fed ditch). Common Green Darners groovitating.🌿
A male common darner forms a "C-shape" clasping just behind the female's neck, while the female bends her abdomen downwards. They are perched on a brown twig in greenish water with small bits of vegetation floating nearby. The picture is framed by two stalks of blurry cattail leaves. The male is green ish up front with a blue abdomen, and the female is bright green overall. Their wings are spread in typical dragonfly fashion, and show an almost crystalline delicate venation. This "tandem flight" formation is rather fortuitous to see, as usually the males are patrolling nonstop and hard to photograph as they don't perch much (unlike some other species, like, elephants).

So, supervised sunshine time for Catalina, and it's quail and dove and roadruner and curve-bill thrasher and rabbits, and "you gotta keep 'em separated". Come Out and Play (1994). Thankfully, after a brief inspection tour, it's loafing the shade duty.

Why won't any reporter tell him he's full of shit? 400% down? We know he can't do math, but is MAGA shorthand for "stupid"? Nobody is paying us to take eggs off their hands. High price around here was $7.99, 400% down means they pay us ~ $24 for a dozen.
Call the Big Bullshitter out for once!

A moonlight night, homes near the bottom of the image with a few random lights on. A fuzzy moon near the top center, just slightly to the right. White and gray clouds, lit up by city lights, spread outwards from the left and horizon. A bit of drama, a bit of mystery, a dollop of unreality as far as that goes, but it captures the spirit of the evening.

#birds Had a fun trip to Water Canyon, NM recently, with an old friend and a new friend. Helping them find area specialities like this loverly Hepatic Tanager. Not the best photo but a glorious day!
A Hepatic Tanager male amongst long pine needles in a Ponderosa Pine. Blue sky behind, branches to right, needles extending into frame. The partially-shaded tanager is reddish orange with darker nearly grayish wings and a gray bill. It is fanning its tail gloriously, so the light streams through from underneath. It was foraging high in the pine, at some distance away, but at least I got this image to remember. It also was singing quite a bit, with infrequent calls. There was a female nearby.
