My sweet, sweet kitty Sierra has been very ill the past few weeks. She was supposed to visit the vet again, for the 4th time in two weeks. But, yesterday, she passed away before I could get her to the emergency hospital. I love her and miss her very much... 😥

Some miscellaneous progress on my model of the Mary, the first royal yacht England's Charles II. The 1/54 scale model from Mamoli/Dusek is one I acquired, partially complete.

Working on adding the lee boards, making the anchors, and rigging the cannons.

Last month, one of my ship model groups, the Mare Island Ship Modelers, finally returned to its old home at the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum, after having been away for nearly 5 years. The group meets only quarterly, so as to give members plenty of time to make progress on their projects.

I needed a break from my HMS Wolf build. Here's Yacht Mary, 1690. An inherited model I'm planning on finishing up. For now, I'm just trying to make some progress for the next SBMS meeting on Saturday.
Yacht Mary Inherited Build – Part 2
While taking a short break from working on my Shipyard HMS Wolf kit, I decided to try to make some progress on the Yacht Mary. I am, after all, more familiar with the building of wooden ship models…

My 1/72-scale laser-cut paper model of HMS Wolf is slowly progressing. But, with the holiday season and my work schedule, I'm not having enough time to make much progress.

Here's the ship as it currently looks. This is a kit from the Polish manufacturer Shipyard.

My first post on BlueSky. No politics, just Wooden Ship Modeling. Or in this case, Paper Ship Modeling. Hope some find this interesting.

This is my 1/72-scale paper model of the 10-gun English brig HMS Wolf, 1754. This is a laser-cut kit from Shipyard (Vessel) of Poland.

Now in the rigging stage.
