DI Launcher v0.1 has released 😺

Here's some of what it can do:
- Launches DI
- Supports custom game/mod install locations
- The ability to toggle and reorder which mods you want to use
- A button that displays a 😺 upon being pressed
- Very low CPU usage
- 1 example mod included

along with this launcher im also making some example mods for the game because why not. 🐈

the first of these is a custom Difficulty Modifier called "Realism".

you can comb through the mod's code yourself here, if you wanna understand how it all works.

the game's launcher is coming along nicely 😺

the mod list portion is functional now, you can now enable, disable, and reorder your mods to your heart's desire. currently only accepts .pk3 files.

DI: Debt is Inevitable already features mod support, but no easy way to actually "launch" the mods without the use of third-party software like ZDL or Doomrunner. This month, I am solving that by making my own mod launcher.

(Using the launcher is not required to play DI.)

New small update (v0.12.2) is out for beta testers of DI: Debt is Inevitable.

This update contains 1 new weapon, 3 new passive items, 2 new random events, buffs and bugfixes, and more future content for the (unfinished) Level 3.

Another Passive Item for a future update.

This spawns seeds below you as you run, dealing contact damage to enemies. Can be stacked up to 4 times for increased spawning and damage output.

Can be combined with other passives like Explosive Rounds and Trickshot for some unique builds.

New Passive item coming to DI v0.12.2.

This item grants your bullets a chance to explode violently upon making contact with enemies or walls or floors. Does not scale with your weapon's DMG. Can also damage the player.

Can be stacked up to 5 times to increase explosion DMG/chance.

next item is the Depleted Magazine.

this is a Passive Item that grants you up to +20% Firerate as your weapon's ammo gets closer to empty. Works best on weapons with at least 20 ammo capacity. This item can be stacked up to 5 times to get up to +100% Firerate (doesnt affect reloading.)

for the next 40 days, ill be showcasing an item in my game everyday.

let's start with the Star Pistol, the very first weapon the player gets to use. this is a simple little pistol that has 8 bullets, and does damage that scales based on how many coins the enemy will drop on death. (9 + 2x)

Yesterday I added a new Beach Ball item to my game that you can spawn in by activating a consumable.

If you or an enemy smacks the beach ball, it'll go flying into the air, and any enemy it touches will take 100 DMG.

The ball will stay in the arena until the end of the current round.

Included in this update is some new Rotation Sprites for the sides and backs of enemies in Level 1, something i should've added to the game a long time ago IMO.
