I still want to change a few things, mainly the head for better facial movements and for better neck fluff however I am glad it looks as good as it does.

Did a study on shading stuff, tried making a ring I own.
I learned a bit on aligning UVs better, how to use normal maps, and set up some roughness scaling. I have no clue if it would be optimized for any specific uses but I with this knowledge I want to try to retexture my previous models.

Went and made one for my wife while I was at it, I am very happy with my progress. I don't know how it holds up against people who know what they are doing but I feel like I did very good with the topography on the head. This is an edited, slightly lower poly version for a lethal company mod.

After finally getting motivation to do it, I tried remaking the model again, this is the third time lol. I haven't done any shape keys on it like the last one but the eyes are set the way I wanted them to be originally; with a slight glow and using the "follow me" illusion.

My wife and I got our first artworks, aside from the ref sheets, done by them, here is mine. They had great customer service and can draw a wide variety of species from what I have seen.

I also wanted to use this site to try to keep myself motivated to learn 3d modeling by showing progress. This was my first attempt at making a model for myself, it took a month and a bit back in January.

Moved here from twitter, I didn't have many posts over there to begin with but I figured I may as well transfer what I had so I don't need to go back there. 🙂
