Now, if they would start streaming 'Danger Bay' and 'The Beach Combers', my inner child would be satisfied

I would love to hear what other people who have played it thought of the game, or if you haven't played, is it on your list?

The updated visuals and graphic were amazing, while still being recognizably the same cities and buildings and atmosphere of the original game. And, not really essential, but I thought using the sprites from the original game on the loading screens was a nice homage

As a long time fan, I hope they fix it for the 2nd Chapter release, but I can also see how that would be jarring for players where this was their first exposure to the series.

It's not enough to make me not play the games, but I do wish they had taken more care with it

It's a huge shame. I get that it is a daunting task to try and cross check with 12 already localized games for continuity, but There must be a reference document of some sort, when NIS America took over from XSeed, I don't recall this many continuity diffierences

There were a lot of names that they changed the pronunciation of, notably Liberl, Calvard, Loewe, among others. They also changed the names of some things like acerbic tomatoes are bitter tomatoes, and Archaisms are Ancient Golems

The full voice acting really made some scenes more impactful, Escpecially some of the final cut scenes (iykyk). hearing Matt Mercer singing "Amber Amor" made me squee.

But

Gung Ho *really* dropped the ball on continuity with previous games with this localization

Loved that they kept how orbments work. The combination of which orbments you insert on which line will determine what arts are available to your character in combat. I'm glad they didn't change it to be like in the Cold Steel arc, where lines don't impact on arts or skills

The combat is similar to the combination of action and turn based combat introduced with Trails through Daybreak, which I enjoy, and you can zip through trash mobs while still employing turn based strategy on bosses.
