Thank you for these recommendations. I will look more into Spain. It has come up on my searches before but usually a bit further down the list, possibly biased based on english language. Kids are young and I took Spanish in school so it could very well be an easy transition.

What eles was expected?

My concern is coming from CT, we have the most freedoms. We dont have to tell anyone anything, no tests or portfolio submissions. No attendance either. So leaving means we will have to submit some/all of that to the state.

I actually like our school system. Im on a first name basis with the superintendent and our principal. Im VP of the PTO. Our principal is a former Montessori teacher as well, so she gets it. We are thinking about homeschooling when/if we move to WNY. Mostly due to politics nationwide.
