My nephew’s dog Axel thinks he’s people and was sitting in his lap like this one day. So my nephew spent some time this afternoon crafting photoshopped images of Axel being people in various scenarios, per our suggestions.

My beloved Grandfather did an Honor Flight must be 16 years ago now. I met him on the Mall with a professional photographer to follow us around. It was grand. He passed in September 2020. I miss him so much, but I continue to thank him for his service even though he’s gone.

I managed to get him drugged up and steal his nails today, relatively drama-free, and I'm going to accept that win as the ONLY win of the day.

some kind of powwow happening here. not sure what they're working out between them but Jake isn't going nuts and Bibsy has just been sitting politely at the door for 15 minutes. she'll run as soon as I go over there to give her a little dinner, so I'll just let this happen for a little longer

Bibsy the feral can match that... sitting on the steps of my porch politely waiting for me to leave it so she can eat her breakfast. that is sitting right there. that I just put out for her. and she watched me put it there.

I turned and looked out my sliding glass door last night and saw this sweet little baby just hanging out, rubbing against the door like it wanted to come inside. but it didn't. resident feral, and it's well taken care of, just like the rest of the colony.

945pm and I just made some strawberry jam with some berries from the garden, supplemented by some frozen fresh berries that kept falling out and bonking me on the head every time I opened the freezer.

I finally got a picture of Interloper 1, Blackie McMidnight. He (she? don't know) was on the frint porch singing the song of his people, and went down the stairs all non-chalant when I went outside. Sat there on the sidewalk shunning me but didn't run!
