This is a portrait of my late aunt, Vu Thy-Anna. She’s Black-Vietnamese and was almost the same age as my Mom.
Most of my aunts and uncles from my Mom’s side of the family were adopted as very young children. Many of them were orphaned from the Vietnam War.
May she rest in peace.

Lucy is not feeling well.
She started vomiting intermittently a couple of evenings ago and I made my parents schedule an emergency appointment at the veterinarian.
Although I wish that I have made time to do so sooner, I’m glad that I did now. She has just started on her treatment plan.
