From me to you:
This is just a reminder that the "national security" reasons that the government has issue with TikTok over are a lie. TikTok US is based in the United States (see "Project Texas"). The parent company is Chinese but so what? This was never an issue when the app was called Musically. Many users have now found "Red Note", "Red Book" or "Little Red Book" which is an actual Chinese version of TikTok and are planning to move there if the TikTok ban is upheld. (I have heard it called 3 names not including the Mandarin pronounciation.) This is a ban that does not apply to Temu, Shein, Alibaba, or countless other popular Chinese-owned Applications which are much more problematic with how they retain and store user data. Why are they targeting only TikTok? Because we all have phones in our pockets with cameras and we can show the reality of what is going on around us LIVE and not the sanitized version that the news will show. The government no longer controls the narrative and now they have lost the plot entirely. This is the truth.
