Finally, it's nice enough to write outside. You can see we have the front yard finally cleared after the ice storm. There were so many trees down that we have nowhere to put them. So we just pulled them into piles. On the upside, I am working on the last couple of scenes in The Book of Endor. Yayyy.

I am (finally) close to finishing the third book in The Witch Tree trilogy, much to the relief of some of my readers who have been asking about it. So, last week inspiration struck for the cover and I went ahead and designed one that I love and fits well with the other books in the trilogy.

We've had a ton of snow dropped on us in the last month. How do I know? My bird bath is no longer visible. It is nothing more than a snowy bump.

-18 C when I did barn chores this morning. Thankfully, the sun was shining. I made sure the animals have lots of straw, hay, heated water, shelter, treats, and loving.

Winter is not my favourite season. I wouldn't mind so much if I could stay in the house all winter, but I have barn chores twice a day, every day. It means shoveling back to the barn and pulling water from the house to the barn on a sled. But look at those faces. They are worth the effort.

I love working from home and not going anywhere if I don't need to. Today is a perfect example of why. Roads are sheer ice. Vehicles in ditches everywhere. This photo is a small incline leading out of town. The one truck couldn't get up the hill and slid into the truck coming into town.

Christmas is fast approaching. If you're still shopping for gifts, why not consider a book, or books, for that special someone.
