To be fair it is beyond some people’s capabilities, mine included at the moment. I still think 15 minute cities are a good idea.

A similar thing is happening in the UK. Political parties bending over backwards to try to get support from the far right because they lie and bully and the main political class are intimidated by it. The “moderate left” support the worst of the policies in the hope they will keep political power.

Having just been in hospital for a month I found several things:
Care was very variable, sometimes excellent, sometimes awful.
You need to be able to advocate for yourself or have someone very persistent to do it for you.
Most staff are trying hard but there is no slack in the system.

It’s ironic if he is now an immigrant in another country. He must be one of those violent criminal immigrants they keep talking about.

I would love to ask Trump supporters if there is anything Trump could do or have done that would lose their trust and support. Because it looks like he can do anything and they will justify it. He even said as much himself and they still voted for him. Do they have any red lines?

While I am in favour of restorative justice it hardly seems to me that a “a fair and just outcome has been achieved” when in this case restorative justice has been applied to a death but was denied to a minor committing a small theft. None of this seems proportionate in any direction.

Also I am today old when I realised that Badenoch could be written Bad Enoch and now I am more convinced than ever that the bad people are hiding in plain sight.

If you have access to BBC Sounds there is an audio book of “Central Intelligence” that makes it frighteningly clear just how often this has been done. I would say based on verifiable evidence it is likely (not that it means that killing people is ok though).
