Couldn't agree more! He is without any redeeming quality.

NOT REAL. I find Duffy incompetent and ignorant, but posting fake reports is a Republican tactic that we are supposed to abhor. You should delete it. We need to get back to shaming liars not sharing their content.

Total capitulation. Mind-boggling after Tuesday's election results. How naive or willfully ignorant you have to be to think either 1. the December vote will reinstate ACA premium support, or 2. without that, this will still be seen as a Dem victory because we showed America how cruel Trump is.

I find it too coincidental that landowners - farmers and ranchers - are being hit. We have investors who are intent on taking ownership of land for development, data centers, mining, and corporate farming. What better than to get it for pennies on the dollar from desperate farmers and ranchers?

EVERYTHING this administration has done is about the reality TV they want to sell to the public. Acts in a play, made-for-media moments, sound bites, video clips, whatever you want to call them, they are designed to grab attention and shape perception.

I'm so embarrassed for our country.

In 1996, Republicans held majorities in both the House and Senate for the first time in 40 years. They crafted that law, but sure, fear of a dynasty was a good reason to reject Hillary (sarcasm). What a mistake that was.

Two additional acts, the Clayton Act and the FTC Act were passed in 1914. I remember when they were used to break up Bell Telephone Company. If they are inadequate today, Congress should Act to strengthened them.

I'm old enough to remember antitrust laws. They seem to have all but been abandoned. They need to be implemented and strengthened.

I've always thought it is our federalism that will save our republic. The caveat is they have to resist and not acquiesce.

One can only hope.

This!

LOVE to see this. They know you are a threat to their attempts to dismantle our democracy. Please keep up the fight!

Every Dem in the country could vote for a Dem candidate and still not win. We NEED Independents who have shown they are just as willing to vote for one party as the other. That means moving toward center. If far left voters hate that, they should understand they'd hate it more if the Repub gets in.
August 24, 2025 at 4:50 PM
Sure there is. Politics is a spectrum. You may define far left differently here in the US than what has been seen in Europe, for example. There is no singular definition for "far left" just as "centrist" is a moving target.
August 24, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Centrists understand the numbers. The left can't win without centrists. The far left purity tests are killing their chances of winning elections. We need more than urban centers to gain majorities. The far left will never win in rural US. Call it bullshit at your own peril.

The burger stamp pictured says T-RUMP. Hardly flattering. Are you sure they were a Trump supporter?
August 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM
As a Judge Berman recently stated, the DOJ can release the ample files it already has. We don't need grand jury testimony or a new interview with a known perjurer who has everything to gain by lying.
August 24, 2025 at 1:10 AM
I predict a completely different reception in Chicago than in DC. I have always maintained that our federalism will save our democracy. We are a country. We are also 50 separate states. Abbott and DeSantis defied Biden. I hope we see strong Dem governors/mayors defy Trump.
August 24, 2025 at 1:00 AM
We didn't need a new interview with Maxwell. We have a treasure trove of documents that tell the story. Adopting the position that the statement of a convicted pedophile and perjurer puts a definitive end to the inquiry is ridiculous.
August 24, 2025 at 12:56 AM
Not hard. Much of what Trump proposes are traditional Dem policies, albeit on steroids. Onshore manufacturing. Fed gov limitations of food/drug additives. Anti-war stance. Tax (tariff) and spend. More federal control v. state and local. The policies can be described as liberal. Methods? Not so much.
