this post is about a game called "haste broken worlds" that has this incredible gameplay but they limit it by using these really poor half baked roguelike elements that just ruin the experience once you get later in the game. not to mention that they just copy paste the same three levels over n over

a roguelike is usually a genre of game that uses procedurally generated levels, meta progression, permadeath, etc.
think games like Hades, Binding of Isaac.
i tend not to like them because they use difficulty to pad out gameplay through repeating randomly generated levels
