My grade 6 and 7s read,”We Are Not Free” by Tracey Chee this year. We also discussed Japanese internment camps in Canada for Rememberance Day.Understanding history is so integral to humanity and democracy. What is happening in the US has been partially enabled by years of defunding public education.

If people in Alberta like the US, they should leave Canada and take out citizenship there. Problem solved.

Carney is a diplomat and he understands the way the world works. And what brings me even more calm (and believe me, that does) is that he takes the time to field the media questions with real answers thus 1) showing respect for the institution and 2) helping educate the public.
