I completely agree with what you say about the need for GPEW to become more campaigning and cost-of-living-crisis aware, and to change our comms and image to ‘chime’ with more people. It is very frustrating to see the ‘Far Right’ and even ‘Very Right’ making brilliant use of social media. cont

The city council is also forcing the closure of Sherwood Community Centre, which helps so many people; plus charity Framework is having to close several residential homes for homeless people because the city council had cut its funding.

After the lobby I observed some of the council meeting and was shocked by how congratulatory the LP councillors were about very small increases in funding from government to our poor bankrupt city. They seem more loyal to their political party than to Nottingham
