When I’m sad this brings me so much joy. (And makes me cry)

It was two weeks before Tony died. He was in pain & heavily medicated.

Yet, briefly, at the end of this I had my Tony back for a few lovely moments. Looking cheeky & teasing me.

I know I’ve shared it already 😑

A little more work in the concertina art journal.

I do. My husband passed away recently &, as all the flowers I was sent die, I’m printing with them. It feels good.

These gelli prints are making me happy.

It’s 3 weeks since I realised Tony’s breathing was changing & I should sleep beside him in the lazyboy rather than come home & leave him with the rest home staff.

How is it 3 weeks already?

Sabrina is not the smartest cat.

There was a lot of crashing & thumping behind our bedroom curtains this morning. I could see the silhouette of her jumping & turning on the window ledge.

She was chasing a bird. A bird that was outside…

Tonight’s collage play time. I’m already seeing a pattern in the shapes & layouts I prefer.

The gel medium is only showing up as shiny because these are quick night photos on my phone.

I know I probably won’t make finished art for ages now Tony has died.

I’ve pre cut up piles of my handmade papers and am playing in a small journal.

It’s useful for honing in on the compositions and colours that spark my interest.

Colouring has been a mental health life saver through all this. Low expectations. Low stress. Portable.

I have a 9 year old rescue cat, Sabrina. She’s been with me 3 years and can still be quite skittery.

Judging others based on his own utter lack of action no matter what Nats do. He really is disgusting.

Yeah, I love them. I prefer the frilly ones to the plainer ones…
This one is starting to open.

The Amaryllis is doing its thing. It’s got two flowers open, and the plain orangey red one is starting to open.

I have to choose a photo for the service booklet. There are 4 I like. Thoughts?

1 With his first real pizza, in Italy. A happy time.
2 Looking younger & healthy at Patea Beach.
3 In his fav Pink Floyd sweatshirt.
4. In his ambulance uniform with his headphones on. He loved his job.

My best friend & I drove to Samson today to visit Viv’s Kitchen.

Tony loved their famous cream horns & this cafe is one of the last out of town outings we did, at his request (a couple of years ago).

Tony’s this one’s for you. 🩷
