Feeling both angry and heart sick. In spite of knowing better, I let myself take democracy and the rule of law for granted. And here we are, with both under the biggest threat in my not-short lifetime.

Gosh, I never knew cats were religious. 🙀

As you know, i’m no fan of religion. And hate does certainly predominate in their narrative, so far as it’s reported in the press. But I hesitate to lump them all together when there are Christians like the bishop of New York who stood up to Trump. (Lack of hate does not usually make the news.)

A few years ago I decided to sit down every afternoon about 4 o’clock to read. If I forget, my cat reminds me.

Love these. I must plan another visit after my knee heals.

In theory, the other two branches of the US government – i.e. legislative and judicial branches – are meant to hold the president to account.

So many people I care about that I am only in touch with only via FB. I hope someone comes up with a better option so we can all change to it.
