Back in 1993 I went to Poland and the Czech Republic. The only train to Prague from Poland ran in the middle of the night and arrived at 6 AM. You crossed the border at like 3 and cops came through banging flashlights to wake everyone up. It sure kept people from going anywhere. Not a coincidence.
