all new dakota package with the same classic dakota taste
yeah i think they could manage, especially considering like all those kid parts in sweets this year. i did the IT house at WB’s Halloween event in LA in 2018 and honestly it just made me want it at hhn more hahaha

oh i’m not disagreeing with you! sorry if it came across that way lol i just get passionate and start over sharing what little i know haha 😅 but i’ve heard he’s got a bit of weird stigma about haunted houses for some reason and has shot down hhn before. any king at hhn is a dream for me tho lol

the mother, the serpent, the holy spirit

But to your point Stephen King is weirdly against his characters appearing in haunted houses/attractions 🥲 But the Shining and IT have both been able to get away with it due to being majority-owned by WB. (IT hasn’t happened at HHN sadly; but they have licensed it at a few other Halloween events!)

i should clarify that 2006 pretty much marked the end of hhn using unlicensed IPs like Carrie *without permission* like just one year later in 2007 they would sign the new line cinema deal for Freddy Jason and Leatherface. but those early years were characteristically wild lolll
November 25, 2024 at 4:31 PM
those were the wild west days of hhn when they didn’t actually license IPs officially, so the movies and characters were just sliiiightly off to avoid copyright lol

I’ve been saying that Wicked deserves a Fantasy Springs Frozen Adventure-esque dark ride for months now actually. It’s the closest a Universal IP will likely ever come to a disney princess. I don’t actually *want* an Oz coaster, but I could accept the justification for one as a tertiary attraction.
November 25, 2024 at 10:11 AM
that said, wizomania screams street show, and the shop and dining potential is massive, esp if they approach from a broader Oz angle. i don’t think a coaster is *necessary* but i do an “Oz high speed rail” would suffice as a theme

no i agree they won’t drop marvel anytime soon (tho USJ dropping spidey has shook my entire perception of what universal still values). really i think the merch sales at the preview center (and box office of course) will be what determines if wicked is a full scale land vs just a ride + show.

I kept thinking Emerald City in MSI and TL Amp, but MIB and FFL makes a lot more sense
November 25, 2024 at 1:39 AM
and i totally sympathize with that, but as he is still alive and can still make money off of the attraction/merch etc. it has to go

People just can’t bear change lol. I’ve lost Alien Encounter and Jaws.. you can’t hurt me anymore hahaha

I average about 50 or so books a year. Roughly 12ish of those are audiobooks (helps me get thru book club entries I’m not interested in). That said, not everyone can hear sentence structure, so it’s not necessarily useful in a classroom situation. But yes it absolutely is a passive form of reading.
