I've seen this quote before, didn't realize it was Atwood's! And yes, not all men, but enough that this is a reality.

At the invitation of Rory Waterman and NSF, I was part of a webinar on reproducibility in homogeneous catalysis. Researching my talk, I came across this great quote from Nature, 2015, 526, 182. It's a great take on bias, something that I will print out and put on my wall. Words to remember.

DEI efforts matter. If they didn't have impact, they wouldn't be under attack.
Words matter, if they didn't, the current admin wouldn't be covering them up.

The PDFs and I stopped by to support our striking grad students. Looking forward to a resolution to their issues since it’s been a month on strike now. Support your students!

Fantastic night last night organized by the @queensu American chemical society student chapter. Great mix of students from all over the world (including Canada). We are so lucky to have such fabulous dedicated students. Thanks to all! Here’s some of our group at the Photo Booth!

The goulash is first rate!

Few things apparently endear an English speaker to a German waiter more than ordering Rotwien und goulash! So far so gut!

Remember. This is being brought to you by those who railed against ‘Cancel culture’. Also remember, these are powerful words which is why those in power are trying to erase them.

Via rail has a great "find my train" app. During this detour due to track work, I think it should be temporarily changed to "Where the f•ck am I" app. Man this is a SERIOUS detour. #YYZ #Toronto #Viarail #Canada
