Media prefers to print things people want to be true, even if it isn’t. Folks (Americans esp, IMO) don’t like to be told they can’t/shouldn’t do something, esp when they really want to do it. So when ppl like Oster and Wen come along and say “don’t worry—you can do the thing” it’s a popular read.
