As a former Nashvillian, the idea of a Democrat winning TN-07 seems unthinkable. And yet...

Didn't this Epstein Files story initially take off *because* the right wing (Loomer, and to an extent Patel and Bongino) didn't trust Bondi's representations re: the Epstein Files?
November 19, 2025 at 4:49 PM
The release of the Epstein Files feels like a hurdle for Trump the same way Not Being Old and Physically Able to be President was for Joe Biden in July of 2024.

WRONG QUESTION.
November 18, 2025 at 4:42 PM
Oh they're *boned* boned.
November 18, 2025 at 2:07 PM
It would also knock out a non-trivial chunk of their "normie" mid-level leadership, wouldn't it? Sure, Scalise and Emmer survive but what about *their* successors?
November 14, 2025 at 9:25 PM
Been feeling like it's been nonstop bad news or bad stuff for them since late October.
November 14, 2025 at 9:11 PM
Yeah, but I think they're trying for additional restrictions (i.e. not allowing the abortion riders on the state marketplaces or something like that). The Rs are saying it's a natural extension of Hyde, Senator Shaheen is saying "absolutely f*cking not".
November 14, 2025 at 2:06 PM
They're trying to poison pill it with abortion restrictions but I don't think that's going to work for them politically.

I thought you were a commercial cartoon plane though.

Hell yeah!

I'm sure Stephen Curry was an Olympic caliber Basketball Player during the same era Michael Jordan was the GOAT.

Yeah I would like a place to R1999!post

"Blood for the Blood God" is not a policy I, a Democrat, feel comfortable asking of my elected officials. Neither is "A measure of wheat for a penny".
November 10, 2025 at 7:36 PM
Did you have a good time?
November 10, 2025 at 4:18 PM
I spent it painting up a squad of Jump Pack Intercessors and their Captain and feel refreshed for doing so!

At this point I think even the Democrats accepting the CR wouldn't be a cave. I think this fight has inflicted mortal political damage on the GOP for their 2026-2028 prospects beyond (at least) my wildest expectations when the Democrats went into it.
November 9, 2025 at 9:27 PM
I think a lot of people on this here App have conflated "We didn't fight for you at all" with "We fought hard and did not get what we said we wanted because there were a lot more of them".
November 9, 2025 at 8:50 PM
Steve Scalice's staffers, I bet.
November 9, 2025 at 7:52 PM
Where did Tennant fall on your tier list?
November 9, 2025 at 3:20 AM
Considering that the author doesn't seem to care as to *why* the Democrats may want to pass the CR (implicitly ignoring all the costs incurred via the shutdown or the text of the CR), I...think this is not a person anyone should listen to.
