After reading this, I asked a visiting friend how he could possibly remain a subscriber of the WaPo, given this sycophantic Editorial Opinion.

I'm riding home from the airport, where unhappy crowds are dealing with excessive TSA lines due to the federal shutdown.

The back and forth concerning troop deployment into peaceful Portland... makes me feel angry & sick. But not as miserable as those grabbed off the street by masked forces in unmarked vehicles - their families must be so worried for them.

Thanks a lot to our blowhard lying President who is rejoicing about this Federal Government shutdown. Travelers are wondering how airport security might be affected, but there is no way to know until we get there. I recognize it's puny concern, given the craven actions of GOP.

I’ve found a replacement engine case for my 1967 Beetle, which was manufactured in July 1966. A beautiful H00 serial# case to boot!
Next: get it machined for a 1776 rebuild. Possibly shipped off ton California for rebalancing.

Cannot believe that the guy who helped speed up vaccine development in 2020 hired the guy who will kill access to life-saving vaccines.
