While I couldn't attend in person it was lovely to share plans for a historical, contemporary and creative dive into this #Folklore classic at @folkloresociety.bsky.social conference at @ucc.ie. Kudos @paulcowdell.bsky.social for presenting our ideas and @draflint.bsky.social for her brilliant poem.

This absolute gem has arrived in the post: a collection of Brownie Guide singing games dating from 1955 (revised ed.) and collected by the #folklorist of #fairies and Guider Katharine M. Briggs. Would love to know more about Briggs's involvement in Guiding and her work with children.
