Generally here for the music stuff, though come springtime there will probably be photos of baby geese. MDANT, left/green, workplace union rep, mostly adherent to the Gospel According To Nigel Blackwell.
Thank you Tim and @grassi.bsky.social for a truly wonderful experience

I might do a thread about it tomorrow. My pictures are generally crap though 🙂 Fave performance by an artist I'd seen before probably The Space Lady, fave by one I hadn't seen before could possibly have been reggae veterans The Congos.

Sorry, was going to email you but forgot. First day back at work after 4 days of Dutch festival, brain not fully back yet 🙂 2 of us please. Thanks. So looking forward to our 3rd Boundaries!

I had a song presumably off a demo on one of the many cassettes of Stuff I Taped Off Tony The Greek On Piccadilly Radio, never saw them but I know they had supported bands I liked eg the Chameleons. There were just so many bands! And of course Mark Hodkinson went on to be a respected author.

I'm sure I am far from alone in the Manc music fans of a certain age bracket reading this and remembering the Middleton band The Monkey Run and only now realising after nearly 40 years what the name came from!

Do we have to sign up for this (or have I missed doing so?)

I clearly remember the turnip lantern my dad carved for me for Halloween 1975. My mum was in hospital because the new baby was a week overdue, and I told everyone the turnip was my new little brother Robert. (Helen actually finally arrived three days later, neither a brother nor a turnip).

Yay! I managed to get them too. I do love the Trades but the website falls over at the first sign of anything popular.

Thank you!

As I said you can't just presume 8/9 there. Did that earlier this year and almost missed a support I really wanted to see. Just fail to understand why venues cannot do this one little thing for their paying customers.

Heard anything about stage times? Deaf Inst is pretty much the worst venue in Manchester for publicising them, and has also been known to put supports on at 7.30, but you can guarantee if you do stuff your tea down and dash out early it'll be 8pm...

Can't wait to tell my colleagues I have to make a sharp exit on Thursday because I'm going to Prolapse 🙂

(Also now glad I failed to sell my previously bought tickets for Lovely Eggs across town, reckon a quick jump in a taxi and I can make their set, I bloody love a two gig night)

And they finally remembered to post it publicly just now
October 23, 2025 at 12:09 PM
Thanks, much appreciated. Seems somewhat overly complicated to have to find out stage times by knowing someone on Bluesky who got the info second hand from a private Insta account... You'd think they'd be publicising it a bit better given that it's not even sold out, but see you later anyway

Time to repost my pinned post again... I love live music but I swear trying to find out times is the absolute bane of my life. Made even worse by trying to guess what platform the info might be posted on, at least when everyone used Facebook event pages there was a central place for it.

This this this, in general and indeed for tonight. Got a mutual friend trying to find out from the band, will let you know if we get anything back. I'm going to guess about 9ish for the band but get there prob 8ish just in case. When WHLung played there recently with DJ support they went on 8.40.
