“Departures” by Yojiro Takita. I guess I’m trying to figure out how to live with so much loss every day. So I needed to be reassured that there is beauty in a bleak time and that kindness is what matters and persists.

There are times when you have to read Pratchett to maintain your sanity in an insane world. Others I keep thinking of right now are “The Truth” and “Nightwatch” .

Das erinnert mich an Ursula Le Guin. Sie hat einmal so etwas gesagt wie: wenn man in einer SciFi Geschichte nicht an den Aktionen der Protagonisten erkennen kann, wer gut und böse ist, sondern nur daran, wer gut und böse genannt wird, dann hat die ganze Geschichte keinen Sinn.
