At least @maitlis.bsky.social is on the right continent for the local take.

Agreed he’s a maniac but I’m not convinced he’s the “brains” behind all of this and that feels even more chilling.

Works fine. Will be lovely to have Sophie on the wall though I’m not sure Pumpkin the cat will agree

Sophie has opinions!

I do find it interesting that fascism tends to mean standard rules of engagement go out the window. But to fight it you don’t want to lose your own sense of morality in the process and stoop to their levels. It feels like you get attacked twice as a result

I’ve finally cancelled my party membership. @teamlabouruk.bsky.social nearly lost me at the PIP fiasco but the Mandelson/Epstein put the nail in the coffin. It’s sad to feel they’ve lost their moral compass

Totally agree with this Lewis. Do you have an opinion on how any of this could be resolved? It’s feeling like America is so badly fractured right now that there is no middle ground and Trump certainly isn’t the type to try and create it. I fear for what comes next there and, soon after, here

Oh I think that’s a paw on some sand

But where’s dolly????

Just signed. My signature is definitely the Sophie effect as I wouldn’t have known about it otherwise!

Assuming Starmer doesn’t want to continue as PM after this term when is the right time for them to identify a new leader and how should they position them in the cabinet as the successor? Thanks!

Omg a milk jug and fresh flowers is peak hospitality! Hope it goes well

Thank you for having integrity. I think this will be for Labour what tuition fees did for the Lib Dems. Personally I will lose all PIP under the new rules despite having a permanent life limiting disability. I can’t get my head round how they think this is appropriate

There isn’t a bag of popcorn big enough for this fallout!

She’s really on top of this neighbourhood watch thing. Top marks inspector Sophie!
June 4, 2025 at 10:47 AM
Oh wow. A sign of the times. Bacardi breezer anyone?
May 24, 2025 at 7:29 PM
It would certainly be niche….

Oh no I’ll be the second accountant wondering why the hell I decided to follow lawyers on here when I spend the rest of my life cursing them :)

Perhaps Sophie could stay indoors for a couple of days… I suspect the little love might not be keen on tornados

Top work uncle Si! Whilst the Prof and Rory have done amazingly well with her I think it was your sensible pragmatic advice which put them in the right initial path for beautiful Sophie

There are usually local charity shops willing to pick up furniture so they can then sell it. I’ve used British heart foundation before

Is the challenge her being less familiar to Sophie or that children are more scary than adults do you think? A lovely step forward tho, well done all!

Use of the work “hegemony” twice! Feels like Mr Sopel’s influence here
