Two jams and a jelly. One more tomorrow if I have enough jars for a batch of lavender jelly.

A 1-2 room shelter, for hikers overnight. No toilet (a shovel is provided), no water, heat, or electricity. You BYO firewood, food and sleeping bag. Saw a YouTube where a woman hiked to one and it had tables to sleep on, candles, a fireplace and people had left behind some granola bars and beer.

It was bound to happen eventually, I guess.

Happy early Caturday! I brought my patio furniture in out of the cold and Colette has claimed this chair as hers.

My tree is just about bare due to Miss Colette, pictured here looking ever so innocent.

I finally tried growing paperwhites and will definitely do it again. It was so easy and they smell amazing. Next time I’ll try the booze in their water so they don’t get 2’ tall.

It is freezing outside and we are so sooo cozy!

I got a kitten, who makes me laugh multiple times a day. And (totally unrelated!) I bought a pressure canner and am going to learn to make convenient meals so I can stop my dependence on restaurants.

Creatively, I’m also continuing to learn how to paint.
