Nothing is more frustrating than finishing up drum practice to Rush’s YYZ then having Siri dampen the music 8 measures from the end and ask if I want to record a workout. Seriously?

After watching Mike Portnoy’s Drumeo video where he learned to play “Pneuma” by @toolmusic.bsky.social I decided that my challenge for 2025 was that I was going to teach myself to play that same song. Happy to report that <1 month in, I’m about 67% of the way through the first third.

I am the target audience of this post. Much as I hate it, I’m a one-use item hoarder, and this would so help me FINALLY use (or lose) those items.
Gaming hot take: Items in games should have expiration or best by dates. They should degrade in value over time to keep people from just hoarding them. This would drive a subset of gamers insane and I’m here for it.
