Three teams are vying for the last two PWHL playoff spots going into the last day of the regular season. Here's who'll unfortunately end up fifth (the odd team out) in each of the 16 permutations of possible Charge/Sceptres and Frost/Fleet game outcomes. Exciting weekend ahead! #pwhl

I wonder if they'll share stories about this moment from Tuesday's Charge/Frost game when they meet up for Games 4 and 5 of the Rivalry Series. All the feels!

Don't go saying I'm not a team player! 😉

This is the best picture I've ever taken from a Target parking lot.

under my roof for the past month and a half. I’m loving this cat, and I love that she found me 😻 [5/5]

when she asked the townhome association if she belonged to anyone. Once my vet confirmed that she wasn’t microchipped, I knew I’d be making my home hers. Delphine and my almost-seven-year-old torbie cat Mireille aren’t besties yet, but they’ve been coexisting quite peacefully [4/5]

a couple of times under a neighbor’s car before she eventually came to me, first for a bunt against the back of my outstretched right hand, then for a proper cuddle. I wondered, "Whose cat is this?" The chair of the board of my HOA didn’t recognize her and didn’t get any responses [3/5]

I wondered if one of my neighbors was just having fun with a sound app on a phone, but rather than just dismissing the meows as a prank, I followed them to their source – this three-pound bundle of white and orange feline energy. I approached her slowly and let her retreat [2/5]

I'm thanking the stars today for the "Cat Distribution System," because without it, I wouldn't have my new lovely cat Delphine. Six Saturdays ago, I was on my way to an animal shelter to visit a black tomcat when I heard the urgent meows of a kitten about 40 yards off in the distance. [1/5]

The Minnesota Frost home opener didn’t turn out the way I wanted, but it was a great game to watch anyway. Loved seeing MN’s ’23-’24 championship banner raised before game time. Got to meet the hosts of my favorite podcast. Watched the Sirens’ OT game with awe. Memorable night all around.

Here I am with my dear Mireille, doing OK on a #caturday

Earlier this week, I spent a couple of minutes of the afternoon looking for Mireille, hearing her meow, and wondering what spot on the ground she was meowing from – then a voice inside my head told me, “Look up.”

Here with a friend to watch PWHL Minnesota get a W and keep the series alive another day

With P-Dub on a break for Worlds, I need some material for a post, so here's a picture of my torbie cat Mireille (6) and my tuxedo cat Ace (19). Oh yeah, and I'm loving this jersey I got at the last Minnesota/Montréal game.

A non-PWHL post for once: Sleater-Kinney played an amazing concert at St Paul’s Palace Theatre last night, with electric energy from the first song of their set list to the last, old songs and new. Corin and Carrie connected with the audience the way you’d expect at a much smaller venue. So good. 💯

Oh, this game!

Minnesota comes from behind to beat Montreal 3-2 in a shootout. So thankful I made it to the Xcel to see it.

Hey there, PWHL fans – before too much time passes in today's Toronto/Ottawa game, I figured I'd share what my model's indicating for playoff qualification probabilities as a functions of three sets of game outcomes: [1/3]

For more details on all of this, check out the three snapshots in this post (and, fellow Minnesotans and PWHL Minnesota fans, rally with me as per this, the fourth and final snapshot!).

Here’s to an exciting last quarter of the regular season (and IIHF Worlds, too). Bring it on! [12/12]

• Toronto is three standings points ahead of Minnesota in first place, and after tonight’s win, they’re the first team to be guaranteed to make the playoffs. Technically, there’s a combination of 5 standings points that they need to earn (through wins and overtime losses) [3/12]

to win its eleventh game in a row, 2-1, and Ottawa executed a strong game plan to shut out New York, 3-0. Now that every team’s now played 18 games and has 6 games left in the regular season, a few things are clear: [2/12]

Well, well, PWHL fans, after two physical, competitive Wednesday night games, the 2024 PWHL regular season has reached the three-quarter mark. Toronto came from behind against Boston in the third period [1/12]

This influencer's page came up on my Insta with a photo that said "I Love Macros," and I got excited. I thought, "Yes! She gets it! Macros make Excel great!" Then I realized she meant something called macronutrients. Darn. Decidedly less interesting (to me, anyway) 😕

Leave it to me to ask A Bar of Their Own [ abaroftheirown.com/ ] for the one thing they couldn't put on a screen tonight, the PWHL Boston/Ottawa game! (I know, I know – they're working on getting the rights. I still love this place!)
